The Great Commission

"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.  And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." (Matthew 28:19--20)

Missions is a vital part of First Baptist Church.  The missions program seeks to carry out the church's mission statement, "Loving none more than Christ, loving others as ourselves, we strive to reflect God's love to all," as well as the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19--20).  We believe mission involvement emerges from the natural outflow of worship and is the natural result of discipleship.

Mission opportunities are available for all ages.  Individuals or groups are invited to participate.  The mission activities are scheduled as weekly events, periodically throughout the year, giving everyone a chance to "plug-in."

Missions education is an important part of our ministry at First Baptist Church.  Educational programs are  offered for our children, youth, and adults.  The classes for the children and youth are held on Wednesday evenings.  Adult group meetings vary in times and days.
